She was predeceased by: her parents, Carrie Leona Anderson Sims and Ward Peter Sims; her husband Clinton Brown; her children, Kyle and Melani; and her brothers, Joe Sims and Ward Sims.
She is survived by: her close friends, Nannette Pitman and Betty Lou Sandidge; her children, Kevin Brown (Pam) of Winfield, KS and Lori Nelzen of Hesston, KS; her grandchildren, John Nelzen (Elizabeth) of Tallahassee, FL, Melissa Brown (Jenny Smith), Kyle Brown of Joplin, MO and Cameron Brown; her great grandchildren, Soren and Bridget Nelzen of Tallahassee, FL; her stepchildren, Blake Zimmerman (Samantha), Ryan Walt (Blaine) and Shay Howell (Cody); her stepgrandchildren, Brock Zimmerman, Avery Zimmerman, Jordi Walt, Bowen Walt and Kace Howell; her niece Deanna Hodges; and her nephews, Tony Nelzen, Donald Brown and Stephan Lane. She is also survived by friends, spending time with her children and grandchildren.
