It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Darrell Mort Jr. of Winfield, Kansas, who passed away on January 18, 2021, at the age of 43, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, James Darrell and Pamela S. Mort (Leake) of Winfield; his former wife Sherry Jarboe; his sister Heather Anderson of Winfield; his children, Jesse James Mort of El Dorado and Hannah Byrd of Arkansas City; and his stepchildren, Meagan, Andrew and Kayla Jarboe. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial has been established in Darrell's name for the American Heart Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
