It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marshall Detter of Winfield, Kansas, born in Hutchinson, Kansas, who passed away on January 8, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harry E. Detter and Iva Mildred Detter (Marshall); his wife Diane K. Steierl; his children, Brad Detter (Barbara) and Kimberly Reynolds (Tom); his grandchildren, Jennifer Heim, Michelle Lockman, Ashley Detter-Beck, Luke McCune and Sean McCune; and his sisters, Carol Falen and Janice Flick (Larry). He was also cherished by 7 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the First United Methodist Church Endowment Fund and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, contributions may be left in care of Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield.
