He is survived by: his wife Barbara Conner Tallent; his children, Cathy (Gale Cooksey), Patty (Greg Galyen), Melissa (Lannie Marcum) and Randy Tallent; and his siblings, Leta Ann Flowers and Howard Tallent. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
