He is survived by : his wife Lillie Mae Akers; his children, Wendy Harris, Patty Owens, Ruth Ann Shelton, Bonnie Gray and Jessie Akers; and his siblings, Margie Caplinger, Betty Sue Carpenter, Susan Brown, Ronnie, Carl Jr. and Robert Akers.
