He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Darby and Mary Stewart Darby Nelson; the mothers of children, Hilde Darby, Mary Darby and Faye Darby; and his grandson Kevin Kintigos.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Rice Darby; his children, Wilfred Gene Darby (Lona) of Greenup and Linda Kay Darnell (Jan Powell) of Frederiksted; his sister Betty Baird; his grandchildren, Amanda Whitt (Branden) and Joshua Darnell (Olivia); and his great grandchildren, Matthew, Luke, Lincoln, Ashton, Shaylah, Hayden, Jhace, Gene and I. DuPont.
