He was predeceased by: his daughter Rebecca June Hylton; and his siblings, Freddie, Patrick, Geraldin Hylton and Shirley Bell Layne.
He is survived by: his wife Bula Ann Hawkins Hylton; his children, James O'Neil Hylton of Ashcamp, Andy Hylton of Kimper, Angelia Hylton of Lick Creek and Thelma Elizabeth Rhinesmith of Ashcamp; his siblings, Jerry Hylton of Ohio, Derita May of Elkhorn City and Janice Case of Elkhorn Creek; his grandchildren, David, Daniel, Timothy, Tracy Jenkins, Cheyenne Tackett, Alexa Hylton, Elijah, Olivia Rhinesmith, Jacob, Seth Hylton, Koshell and Dendra Rhinesmith; and his great grandchildren, Kimare, Gabriel, Caleb, Emily, Maverick Aubrey, Carmen, Emma-Lee and Wyatt.
