She was predeceased by: her parents, Tracy Jones and Margaret Clark Jones; and her husband Willard Akers. She is survived by: her daughter Margaret Kay Pinkston (David) of Ashland, KY; her grandchildren, Dr. Christopher Todd Pinkston (Meagan) of Ashland, KY and Laura Elizabeth Niffenegger (Derek) of Evansville, IN; her great grandchildren, Allison Paige Pinkston, Liam Charles Niffenegger and Kenzie Elizabeth Niffenegger; and her friend Jean Bills.

Friends may make contributions in her memory to Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Avenue, Ashland, KY 41101.
