It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ben Thompson of Ashland, Kentucky, who passed away on February 9, 2022, at the age of 23, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, H. B. Thompson of Flatwoods, Elizabeth Bartlett Thompson of Ashland, George Edward "Pete" and Shirley Smith Hyer of Orlando. He is survived by: his parents, W. Scott Thompson and Tomie Hyer Thompson; his brother Colton Thompson of Catlettsburg; his grandmothers, Juanita Thompson of Flatwoods and Louisa; and his cousins, Sean Stapleton, David Stapleton, Kevin VanHoose, Robert Hupp, Sgt. Zachery Sowards and Deputy. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, great aunts, great uncles, countless cousins and many friends.
