He is survived by: his children, Jenny Carter (Ronnie) of Ashland, Kevin Samons of Ashland and Brandon Kyle Samons; his wife Katie White of Catlettsburg; his grandchildren, Benjamin Samons, Lydia Samons and Maxon Samons; and his siblings, Lowell Samons of Banner, Troy Samons of Banner, Coy Samons (Linda) of Florida, Dan Samons (Margie) of Banner, Hezzie Samons Jr. (Donnette) of Florida, Dovie Damron of Knoxville and Wanda Marcum (Gilbert) of Banner. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
