He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Andrew and Judy Barker Thompson; and his siblings, Betty Sturgill, Ron Thompson, Bill Thompson and Bob Thompson.

He is survived by: his wife Marlene Eskew Thompson of Ashland; and his brothers, Herbert Thompson of Ashland, David Thompson (Brenda) of Ashland and Mike Thompson (Linda) of Ashland. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends.
