He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bame and Myrtle Spague Bame; his son Michael Keith Fannin; and his siblings, Charles Bame and Margie Mangan.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Roe Bame of Ashland; his daughter Melody Dawn Thompson of Panama City; and his sister Tina Lee Moody of Richmond. He is also survived by six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren.
