He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Edward and Cleo Daniel Shytle; and his siblings, Olyn Daniel Shytle and Mary Ellen Yearwood. He is survived by: his wife Louise Curry Shytle; his sons, Steven Edward (Joy Gehringer Shytle) and Jonathan Leigh (Kelli Parker Shytle); and his grandchildren, Daniel Edward, Sara Davis, Jacob Richard and Molly Catherine Shytle.

Donations may be made to the Hillcrest-Bruce Mission in lieu of flowers.
