He was predeceased by: his parents, William Melvin and Dorothy Brumfield Melvin. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Cooke Melvin; his daughters, Laura M. Lewis and Leslie M. Boardman; and his siblings, Greg Melvin (Marty) and Sandy Clark (Ron).
