He was predeceased by: his parents, Hansel Stratton and Lucy Charles Stratton; and his siblings, Billy Joe Stratton, Lorraine Green and Patricia Crance of Ashland, KY..

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Williams Stratton of Ashland, KY; his sons, Randy Stratton (Cindy) of Grayson, David Stratton (Martha) of Ashland, KY and Doyle Stratton (Deb) of Catlettsburg, KY; his grandchildren, Adam Stratton (Jennifer), Corey Stratton (Kayla), Kelly Stratton, Morgan Opell (Jeremy) and Amber Stratton; his great grandchildren, Parker, Peyton, Allen, Barrett, Jackson, Brinley, Blaine, Bryden and Kennedi; his sister Sheila Peace (Gerald) of Summit, KY; and his daughters-in-law, Peggy Stratton and Ladonna Hall.
