With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Jean Shannon of Ashland, Kentucky, who passed away on January 20, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Winifred Gillette Rose and Charley Spradling; her husband Rutherford Quinn Shannon; her son Paul Shannon; her siblings, Charles Spradling, Dora Lee Branham and Gladys Spradling; and her brother-in-law Hubert Branham.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Shannon (Sherry) of Flatwoods, KY, Rutherford Shannon Jr. (Connie) of Ashland, KY, Elizabeth Shannon of Ashland, KY, Charles Shannon (Anita) of Ashland, KY, Sheila Moore (John) of Ashland, KY, Kevin Shannon (Brenda) of Ashland, KY and Carla Crawford (Steve) of Scottown, OH; her sisters, Judy Alexander of Lancaster, OH, Sheryl Hardin (Jack) of Ashland, KY, Ann Maynard (Larry) of Bellefonte, KY and Deloris Hampton of Ashland, KY; her sister-in-law Della Spradling of Ashland, KY; and her close friend Lenora Salyers. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
