He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade Hurst Bailey and Lora Mae Kelly Bailey. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sue Bailey; his children, Douglas H. Bailey Jr. (Betsy), Thomas Mauray Bailey and Cristina Elizabeth Garred; his son-in-law Jerry Garred; his grandchildren, Dalton, Lora, Molly, Sam, Perrin, Moira, Nick and Nathan; and his sisters, Peggy Leaenberger (John) and Mary Theiler (Joseph). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
