It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edwin P. Paul Helton (Ashland, Kentucky), who passed away on April 9, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Helton and Flora Howard Helton; his wife Ruby James Helton; his former spouse Zeta Gillum Helton; his son Michael; his sister Reva Helton Swanson; his brother-in-law Lester Swanson; his brother Don; his sister-in-law Sue Helton; his grandson Garrett Wayne Helton; his stepchildren, Don and Diane Gillum; and his nephews, Michael R. Helton and Bill Johnson.
He is survived by: his sons, Edwin P. Helton Jr. (Debbie) of Ashland and Gary Helton (Tamara) of Summit; his stepson Barry Gillum (Kim Keffer) of Ashland; his granddaughters, Julie Helton of Ashland, Jennifer Wilkes (Terry) of Ashland, Courtney Blackburn of Ashland, Amanda Helton Packard (Andrew) of Harrison and Bethany Seaman Ginandt (Robbie) of Cincinatti; his brothers-in-law, Roger James (Jetta) of New Carlisle and Ersel James of Deland; his sibling's children, Carol Porter, Paula Helton Qualls, Leslie Helton May, Ron Helton, Jim Helton, John Porter (Kim) and Frank Swanson (Zetta Hyder); and his great-nephew Chuck Hyder (Elbenta). He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
A memorial service with military rights will be held at a later date after the pandemic passes.
