He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter R. Sr. Hale and Laura Helms Hale. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Sue Artrip Hale; his children, Amber Badger (Shane) of Flatwoods, Veronica Hale of Flatwoods, Beverly Lynn Hale of Westwood and Elisha Hale, Jr. of Ashland; and his siblings, Eva Nethercutt (Edgar) of Ashland, Rita Scarberry of Ashland, Matthew Hale (Bobi) of Raceland and Walter R. Hale, Jr. (Kandy) of Raceland. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
