He was predeceased by: his parents, Estle Bowen, Sr. and Grettle Newsome Bowen; and his sons, Estle Wayne Bowen, Robert Charles Bowen and Kenneth Ray Bowen.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Griffith Bowen of Ashland, KY; and his children, Jeffrey Allen Bowen (Keschia) of Ashland, KY, William R. Bowen (Andrea) of Columbus, OH and Kathy Lynn Akers (Tony) of Greenup, KY. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five brothers; five sisters; and a host of extended family and friends.
