She was predeceased by: her parents, William Duncan and Mary Buckler Duncan; her husband Dwight A. Smith, Jr.; and her siblings, Gordon Duncan, Vivan Boppel, Ruth Mutters and Doris Scarberry.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Stamper (Jim) of Ashland and Dwight A. Smith, III (Gale) of Baton Rouge, LA; her sister Joyce Franklin (Johnny) of Louisville, KY; her grandchildren, Andrew LeBlanc and Chrisy Selder; and her niece Joy Scarberry Childers.
