Gretchen Allen Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gretchen Allen of Ashland, Kentucky, born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, who passed away on December 24, 2021 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Billie Jeanne Terry Roth; her husband Douglas Mickey Allen; and her father D. Andrew Canon Garner. She is survived by: her children, Kim Anderson, Sandi Allen Hill (Kevin), Sheri Henry (Brett), Shirley Allen, Micki Kay Allen Carmichael (Dan), Charles Albert Allen, II and Douglas Mickey Allen, II (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Wade Nickell, Rachael Hill, Avery Henry, Charles Robert Anderson, Elaina Anderson, Bridget Anderson, Gordon Anderson, Hannah Allen, Dillon Mills, Sofia Allen-Cook and Dani Kay Carmichael; her great grandchildren, Charlotte Nickell and Rylee Jeanne Martin; and her siblings, Bob Roth (Linda), Pam Vescuso (Larry), Andee Matthews (Matt) and Jill Reboltz (Ed). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, masks will be required for all in attendance.
The family encourages that in lieu of flowers, friends and family become involved in ongoing research to find a cure for neuro degenerative disorders including Parkinson's disease. For those who wish to donate or participate in research you may do so through the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
