He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Carlos and Goldie Rister Bertram; and his brothers, Carlos Bertram and Stanley Bertram. He is survived by: his sister Crystal Bertram of Ashland; his sibling's children, Chelsea Mae McGlone of Ashland, Olivia Ann Martin of Grayson and Donathon James McGlone of Carter County; and his close friend James "Buddy" Caines of Ashland.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made towards funeral expenses.
