He was predeceased by: his parents, Kedric Dotson and Hazel Clark Dotson; his former wife Cheryl Dotson; and his daughter Jennifer Dotson. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Marcum Dotson; his children, Jeffrey Dotson, Jessica McKinney (Andy) and Juliana Dotson; his grandchildren, Dillon, Timothy, Joshua McKinney and Cheryl Dotson; his sister Rose Smith Thacker (Harry); and his brothers-in-law, Charles Bath and Joseph Gibson.
