He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Elmer and Polly Floyd Stephenson; and his wife Jean Carlo Stephenson. He is survived by: his brothers, John Wesley Stephenson of Asheboro, NC and James Gibbs Stephenson of Ashland, KY; and his stepdaughter Esta Davis Browning of San Diego, CA..
