He is survived by: his wife Francis Fields Lester of Ashland, KY; his sons, Kevin Lester of Ashland, KY and Chris Lester of Elkhorn City, KY; and his brothers, Howard Lester and Walter Lester. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
