With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Aker Ward (Ashland, Kentucky), born in Wytheville, Virginia, who passed away on March 4, 2020 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Aker and Evelyn Aker; her siblings, Charles Aker, Jr., George Aker, Frances Riggs and Betty Wright; and her sons-in-law, Ron Corn and Pat Hurst.
She is survived by: her husband Roy Ward; her children, Peggy Corn, Barbara Tackett (Mike), Susan Coy, Mary Jane Hurst and David Ward (Elizabeth); and her grandchildren, Patrick Corn (Megan), Jessica White (Preston), Elizabeth Laird (Mason), Allison Beach (Aaron), Jared Coy (Kendra), Kelly Hurst (Daniel Thacker), Amy Faulkner (Steven), David Hurst, Jane Anne Ward and James Ward. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The American Cancer Society, The American Heart Association, or Community Hospice would be appreciated.
