It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Opal Wheeler Wells of Ashland, Kentucky, born in Blaine, Kentucky, who passed away on September 8, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ossie Wheeler and Nora Wheeler. She is survived by: her husband Leonard Wells; her brothers, Alvin Wheeler, Ralph Wheeler and Marion Wheeler; her son Joe Wells (Leisha) of Ashland; her siblings, Lowell Wheeler (Shirley) of Louisa, Harold Wheeler (Sherry) of Virginia, Jean Doty of Louisa and Mable Bond (Gilbert) of Virginia; and her grandsons, Ryan Smith (Beth) of Ashland, Brett Wells (Jeni) of Greenup and Nicholas Wells Ashland. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
The family will accept flowers to honor Opal's memory or you may also make donations in Opal's memory to defray funeral expenses C/O Caniff Funeral Home 528 Wheatley Road.
