He was predeceased by: his parents, William Oliver and Lila Ellis Wamsley; and his siblings, Clarence, William, Elwood, Raymond, Robert, Ruth, Hazel, Betty and Mary.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Lee Stevens Wamsley; his sons, Herb Wamsley (Anita) and Scott Wamsley (Denise); his sister Anna Mae Fugett (Bob); and his grandchildren, Scott Wamsley, Jr. (Christina), Jennifer Lewis (Travis), Dylan Wamsley (Amy Elswick), Taylor Eden, Kyle Puckett (Sarah) of Andy Puckett, C. J. and Catie Hunt (Steven). He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
