He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie McKnight Lathram and Hobart A. Hart. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Irwin Hart; his children, Heather E. Wright (Joe), R. Edward Hart (Anne), Matthew I. Hart (Kimberly) and Dr. Timothy S. Hart (Karen); his grandchildren, Amber Diamond (Jeremy), Katherine Rehberg (Blake), Erin Hart (Cory), Bob Hart, Laci Hart, Chloe Hart, Zach Hart and Abigail Hart; and his great grandchildren, Jack Rehberg, Davis Rehberg and Harlow Diamond.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be sent to First United Methodist Church, Ashland Senior Center, or Community Hospice.
