He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Clay and Francess Perkins Clay; and his sister Lisa Jo Carroll. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Squier Clay of Ashland, KY; his daughters, Bonnie McClung and Rebecca Clay of Lexington, KY; his siblings, Daniel H. Clay (Cathy) of Ashland, KY, Thomas S. Clay II (Cheryl) of Ashland, KY, Sheree L. Saylor of Levonia, MI and Beth Ann Robinson (Lyn) of Greenup, KY; and his grandchildren, Taylor McClung and Aubrea Galloway.
Due to Covid restrictions the family will hold a private memorial service to celebrate his life on Tuesday evening at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel.
