He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Raymond and Mary Catherine Scherer Smith; his brother Robert Smith; and his sister-in-law Marta Smith. He is survived by: his wife Mary DelCheccolo Smith; his daughters, Teresa Haer (John), Mary Susan Smith and Elizabeth Medinger (Andy); his grandchildren, Benjamin Haer of Huntington, WV, Armella Blanco of Huntington, WV, Laureano Blanco of Huntington, WV, Andrew Medinger of Ironton and Daniel Medinger of Ironton; and his siblings-in-law, Tim DelCheccolo (Patti) of South Point and Victoria Browning. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
