He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Sparks and Barbara Gose Sparks; and his nephew Frank Dixon. He is survived by: his siblings, Amy Darby (David) of Ashland, Sheri Chaffin of Proc and Mike Sparks (Cathy) of Ashland; and his siblings' children, Adam Dixon, Joel Sparks, Taylor Darby, Ethan Darby, Logan Darby, Angela Rice, Laura Ferguson and Rachel Poarch.
