She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Oscar and Nancy Ellen Creech Porter; her former husband Carl E. Hood; and her siblings, Glenn Porter, Henry Porter, Elmer Porter, Oscar Porter, Freddie Porter, George Porter, Thelma Arthurs, Lena Scherer, Alma Holsinger and Martha Koepplin.
She is survived by: her husband Eagle Scout; her children, Carl David Hood (Kathy) of Westwood, Larry Hood of Morehead, Tim Hood (Terri) of Westwood, Carla Hunt of Westwood and Alan Hood (Brenda) of Westwood; her grandchildren, Andy Hood (Megan), Michele Pilgrim (Trevor), Chrissy Riddle (Christopher), T. J. Hood (Jesse), Tristan Badenhorst (Brummer), Cassandra Hunt, Ashleigh Sparks (Michael), Zach Hood and Shelbie Hood; her great grandchildren, Adelaide, Aldo Hood, Madison, Christian Kokai, Austin, Caleb Riddle, Josiah, Stella, Lincoln, Judah Hood, Norah Badenhorst, Peyton and Finleigh Sparks; Scott Hunt, Marion and Diana Johnson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends.
The family requests that due to the rising cases of COVID-19, all visitors wear masks to the visitation and funeral.
