She was predeceased by : her husband Robert C. Hurst; her son John Bernard "Jack" Hurst; her parents, John Bernard and Josephine Spalding Smith; and her sister Matilda S. "Tillie" Wagener.
She is survived by : her children, Jo Hurst Collins (Jim) of Denver, Colorado, Robert C. Hurst Jr. of Louisville, David Hurst (Susan) of Bardstown and Matt Hurst (Stacy) of Bardstown; her grandchildren, Sarah Knight (Jeremy), Cate Mudd (Logan), Brock Hurst (Maggie) and Haydon Hurst; her great grandchild Anna Catherine Mudd; and her pet Quinn. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
