He was predeceased by: his parents, Bedford Moore and Erma Boothe Moore Hatton; and his former wife Linda Essie Moore. He is survived by: his wife Johnna Gibson Moore; his siblings, Zina Gibson (Steve), Charlena Witt, Sharon Asher (Vernon), Tena McIntosh (Russell), Glenna Goins (Jack) and Billy Hatton (Frances); his stepchildren, Naomi McPherson, Necie Collins (Chris), Tyler Murphy (Taylor), Halea Witt (Taran), Kara Murphy (Derek) and Christa Wahtstrom (Joseph); and his grandchildren, John Johnson, Latoya Kennedy, Hailey Fox (Evan), Celena Dean (Jesse), Brandon McPherson (Olivia), Tynsley, Annastyn, Isla, Taytym, Ty Walker Murphy, Savannah, Brantley, Bradley, Everett and Averea Mink. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Newnam Funeral Home Chapel (108 Center St, Beattyville, KY 41311). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
