It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay Johnson Sr. of Bevinsville, Kentucky, who passed away on August 17, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Johnson and Tilda Hall Johnson; his wife Ethel Marie Massie Johnson; his sons, Ron Bays and Steve Bays; and his siblings, Walter Johnson, Andy Johnson, Amos Johnson, Hiram Johnson, Laura Spears, Ann Johnson, Rosie Isaac, Aggie Hilsinger and Iona Collins.
He is survived by: his children, Jay Johnson Jr. (Lori) of Orlando, Glenn Bays of Old Town, Joy McKinney of Ocoee, JoAnn Nelson of Ocoee and Connie Rodenberry of Wittier; his grandchildren, Jay Johnson III, Rachel Johnson and Jordon Johnson; and his great grandchildren, Jay Johnson VI, Charlotte Matthews and Max Johnson.
