It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy (Dot) Kimbel Brumit of Bowling Green, Kentucky, born in Fulton, Kentucky, who passed away on May 31, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Robey and Anna Mae King Robey; her husband William Herschel Kimbel; and her siblings, Evelyn Sears and Jimmy Neal Robey.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Matthews (Jimmy), Darrell Kimbel (Becki) and Phillip Kimbel (Teresa); her grandchildren, Leigh Anna Boley (Todd), Amanda Matthews (Brad Connell), James Allen Matthews IV (DeAnna), Ashley Gordon (Jaime), Michelle Boyd (Larry), Jeffrey Kimbel (Leslie), David Kimbel (Kelly) and Laura Bush (Zac); her great grandchildren, Matt Johnson (Jaimie Lynn), Zack Johnson Black, Cody Boley, Conner Boley, Wyli Matthews, Audrey Matthews-Fields, Natalie Fields, Kenadee Watson (Wade), Laramee Boyd (Alex Walker), Delanee Fowler (Justin Wayne), Jonathon Kimbel, Wesley Kimbel, Desire Kimbel, Bella Kimbel, Brody Kimbel, Sydney Gordon and Jamison Gordon; and her great great grandchildren, Grayson, Grant, Cade Johnson, Penelope "Poppy" Walker and Chanler Mae Watson.
In memory of Bill, Dot donated the seed money (half the entire cost) for building a new playground for the children at Potter.
