With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Sowders Hennion of Bowling Green, Kentucky, who passed away on May 29, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Mary Sowders may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Sowders and Celia Elizabeth Slaughter Sowders; her husband Charles William Hennion; her son-in-law Doug Davis; and her sister Chlorine Furlong.
She is survived by: her daughter Teresa Jo Davis; her granddaughters, Melinda Jo Hogue (Jason) and Jennifer Lynn Magee (Michael); her great grandchild Jordan Hogue; and her siblings, Georgia Brooks, Beverly Jones, Jessie Elmore and Travis "Bud" Sowders (Joann).
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Renfro Cemetery Beaver Dam Chapel (270 Beeler Ave, Smiths Grove, KY 42171).
