He is survived by : his wife Rhonda Messer Barrett; his children, Jonathan Messer, Kelda Messer (Kyle Barton) and Justin Messer (Amie Weddle); his grandchildren, Dylan, Lucas, Jaelynn, Zachary, Hunter, Karlee, Noah and Gracelynn; his great grandchild Trey; and his siblings, Wayne Barrett (Kay), Wendall Barrett (Sarah), Linda Drake (Zack) and Brenda Luster (Paul).
