He was predeceased by : his parents, Oakley Newman and Alma Howard Newman; and his siblings, Lyle, Lawrence, Lovell Newman, Loa Chapman and Laura Routt.

He is survived by : his wife Betty Newman; his children, Joey Newman (Lisa) and Tammy Walton (Brett); his grandchildren, Felicia, Tyler, Colten Newman (Amber), Tanner Walton (Morgan), Mariah Lang (Justin), Paisley, Cash, Knox, Jax Cooke, McKinley, Rylee Newman, Harper, Abel Weiss, Branten Newman and Indie Walton; his sisters, Lillian Varner of Middletown, OH and Lela Smallwood of Brooksville; and his sister-in-law Mabel Newman of Brooksville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
