He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burley Broadbent, Jr. and Dorothy Mae Sholar Broadbent; his wife Mamie Jean Calhoun Broadbent; his sister Jean Broadbent Abbo; and his nephew George Abbo.

He is survived by: his stepsons, Gary Wayne Wallace of Louisville, KY and Robin Ray Wallace of Fort Myers, FL; and his nephews, Greg Abbo and Erik Abbo. He is also survived by cousins and special friends.
