He is survived by: his mother Doris Ruth Shofner Karnes; his brothers, Darrell "D. L." Karnes of Campbellsville, Brian Karnes (Tasha) of Campbellsville, David Karnes of Texas and Roger Karnes of Maine; and his siblings' children, Eli Karnes of Campbellsville and Shelby Karnes of Campbellsville.
