He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Jean Potts and Johnny Derwood, Jr.. He is survived by: his sisters, Theresa Potts (Chad Cox) of Campbellsville and Carolyn Potts (Leigh Ann Fogle) of Campbellsville; his nephews, Sebastian Ryan Lanham of Campbellsville, Dakota Wayne Young of Campbellsville and Dalton Dale Cox of Campbellsville; and his niece Gabrielle Renee Young of Campbellsville. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
