She was predeceased by: her parents, Bennie L. Garrett and Lois Gribbins Garrett; her son Roy Thomas "Leroy" Newton; and her siblings, Barbara Tungate, Jeanette Clements, Juanita Cox, Betty Seals, David Garrett and Hanley Garrett.
She is survived by: her husband Roy Newton of Campbellsville, KY.; and her daughters, Lisa Walls (Daniel) of Campbellsville, Kathy Pittman of Campbellsville and Elizabeth Newton (Nikki) of Campbellsville.
