She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Thaddeus and Lena Murphy Wethington; her husband James Emmanuel Abell; her son James Rodger Abell; her grandchildren, James Marshall Abell, Mary Catherine Rose and James Edward Abell; her siblings, Irene Ewing, Martha Mae Campbell, Exzilda Sanders, William Curtis Wethington, Francis Erich Wethington and Joseph Jessie Wethington; and her son-in-law Joseph L. Turner.

She is survived by: her children, Jessie Garland Abell (Linda) of Campbellsville, David Joseph Abell (Angie) of Knifley, Stanley Eugene Abell of Texas, Robert Emmanuel Abell (Kay) of Liberty, Paul Wimsatt Abell (Cathy) of Bowling Green, Mary Diann Conquest (David) of New York, Janis Louise Turner of Campbellsville, Abbie Catherine Rose (Don) of Colorado and Sallie Marie Marple (Freddie) of Knifley; her brother Marvin Andrew Wethington of Ohio; her daughter-in-law Wanda Abell; and her great grandchild Christian Poteet. She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to St. Bernard Catholic Church.
