He was predeceased by: his parents, James Paniel Napier, Sr. and Gertrude Hogan Napier; and his siblings, Donald, John, Kenny, Carolyn, Chester and Ida Napier.
He is survived by: his fiancée Dedra Bowman; his children, James Christopher Napier of Beattyville, Kentucky and Shakira Hays (Anthony) of Beattyville, Kentucky; his stepchildren, Aaron Roark (Kayla) and Christina Roark (Devin); his grandchildren, Cameron Brown (Jaclyn) of Lexington, Autumn Brown (Connor Deaton) of Beattyville, Erin Napier of Richmond and Michael Roark of Beattyville; and his siblings, Ronnie Napier (Teresa) of Beattyville and Phyllis Spencer of Beattyville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
