He was predeceased by : his wife Patty Watkins Jefferson; his parents, Davie Jefferson and Mary Lacey Gaunce Jefferson; his son Jeffrey Jefferson; and his brothers, Thomas "Tom" and Willie Clay "W. C.".

He is survived by : his sons, Timmy Jefferson (Gail) and Robin Jefferson (Cristi); his grandchildren, Chris Jefferson, Brandon Jefferson (Melanie), Morgan Jefferson, Kayla Jefferson, Katie Jefferson and Cody Livingood; his great grandchild Jack Jefferson; his siblings, Richard Jefferson, Loretta, Marie Jefferson and Jeanetta Watkins; and his stepmother Louellen Jefferson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
