Jewell Brown Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jewell Brown (Catlettsburg, Kentucky), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 15, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandmother Nan; her son Chuck Porter; her husband Woody Brown; her mother Elba Cox (Faye Cox); and her siblings, Claude Cox (Elba Gene Cox), Eloise Ginter and Wanda Fulks.
She is survived by: her sister Mary Sue Franklin (Michael); her children, Keith Brown and Janice Grizzle (Steve); her granddaughters, Kelsey Grizzle (Robert Kahne) and Karisa Grizzle (Daniel Ontenient); her great grandchildren, Louisa Kahne and Laia Ontenient; and her great-nieces, Vicki Andrews (Chris) and Beverlee Harris (Connie Daniels).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Neal Funeral Home (2409 Center St, Catlettsburg, KY 41129). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
