She was predeceased by : her mother Mae Hurst; her husband Clarence Emery; her siblings, Ernest, Thomas Hurst (Wanda), Rose, Dolly Mattingly (Paul), Catherine Arrington and Lizzy Boling (Clayton); and her son-in-law Walter Probus.

She is survived by : her daughter Thelma Probus; her grandchildren, John Probus (Beth) and Debbie Lamar (John Mingus); her great grandchildren, Drew Probus (Paige), Whitney Nesmith, Jacob Probus, Jared Nesmith (Maria) and Lauren Probus; and her great great grandchildren, Lil J. Probus, Harper Nesmith and Zayden Nesmith.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Pisgah Baptist Church.
